Drama & piano art with Christina Kraft & Alexander Girod (for the whole family, donation requested)
TheaterNordNordOst from the Island of Rügen shows:
"Elizabeth on Rügen" - based on the well-known Rügen travel novel by Elizabeth von Arnim (1866-1941).
The novel describes the "road trip" of a woman traveling alone across Rügen shortly before the turn of the century. But with its topical themes, it is much more than a romantic travelogue: it is about women's dreams in life, the rediscovery of nature - and, of course, always about love.
Satirically and cleverly observed, the author also describes the Island of Rügen and the people - tourists and locals alike - she encounters in places such as the Jasmund National Park, the chalk cliffs, Mönchgut, the island of Vilm and Hiddensee.
This reading is more than just a reading: In this live listening-acting concert, actress Christina Kraft from the Island of Rügen slips into all kinds of roles. Pianist Alexander Girod from Greifswald accompanies her with virtuosity and brings over 100 years of music history to life - from classical to jazz to modern.
