"We are five fingers on one hand. The one on the cover, Kurt Tucholsky. And Ignaz Wrobel. Peter Panter. Theobald Tiger. Kaspar Hauser. These pseudonyms emerged from the darkness, conceived as a game, invented as a game - that was when my first works appeared in the "Weltbühne"."
Antje and Martin Schneider chose texts by Kurt Tucholsky, the most important publicist of the Weimar Republic. The author of "Schloss Gripsholm" and journalist for the "Weltbühne" was born in Berlin in 1890 and died in Gothenburg in 1935 at the age of 45.
Angela Stoll comments on the reading of the two speakers on the grand piano. Simon Weinert additionally enriches the texts by incorporating chansons.
