Music for the eyes
Music touches us in many different ways: Some hear it, others feel it in their blood or move their legs to the beat. But what about music for the eyes?
Eight talented photographers from MV-Foto e.V. invite you to experience music from a new perspective. In their joint exhibition, Oliver Beirow, Olaf Bellmann, Jürgen Brandt, Thomas Dürr, Volker Janke, Manfred Klement, Stanislaw Lifson and Klaus-Peter Schmidt present impressive photographs in the form of collages, series and individual shots that reflect their personal connection to music.
The motifs range from the intricate detail of an instrument to the vibrant diversity of street musicians and the fascinating structure of an organ pipe hierarchy to the intense interplay before a performance. They also tell of the meticulous preparation of a live concert or of special stories - such as that of a music cabinet door in St. Paul's Church. On display are impressions from small and large concerts as well as melodies inspired by nature.
MV-Foto e.V. is looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors who would like to discover this exciting combination of image and sound.
