Open Monument Day
Day of the open monument 2025
On this year's Open Monument Day on September 14, 2025, the team from the City History Museum is once again inviting visitors to a museum festival in the historic town hall on Neuer Markt.
Guided tours will be offered through the building, which was built in 1797 and extended and rebuilt 60 years later. The reception hosted by the "True Mayor" Klaus Lambrecht in his office has already become a tradition. All children can try their hand at bookbinding with illustrator Tanja Blaufuß and create small journals and booklets. There will be coffee and cake in the beautiful town hall and the brave can test their weight on the old council scales.
