Darßer NaturfilmFestival 2025: Program section "Depth"
Natural wonder Schorfheide
Just outside Berlin, in the north-east of Brandenburg, lies a species-rich cultural landscape surrounded by ancient forests, thousands of moors and over 200 lakes: the Schorfheide. It is a refuge for rare animal species and a region that is a role model for the whole of Germany when it comes to nature conservation. The film tells an astonishing and positive story in beautiful images and special animal sequences. It tells how conservationists, foresters and farmers have worked together over the past 30 years to bring back biodiversity.
