Mammoths and wolves are set to return to save endangered habitats. Researchers around the world are working to recreate animal species that have disappeared. Using modern biotechnology and genetic engineering, they are extracting the blueprints of genetic material thought to be lost from museum specimens. Is this a hope for an intact nature or is science playing God - with unforeseeable consequences?
