Crime comedy based on the novel by Karsten Dusse
In order to stabilize his marriage and cope with the growing pressure between his law firm, family and questionable clients, criminal defence lawyer Björn Diemel is increasingly caught up in a web of professional expectations and moral impositions. The newly prescribed mindfulness therapy is intended to remedy the situation and guide him towards a more mindful everyday life. But while Diemel tries to put the insights he has gained into practice, the calm world of meditation exercises collides with the unpredictable dynamics of organized crime, from which he can hardly escape professionally.
What begins as an attempt to bring order to an overburdened professional and private life develops into an astonishing, sometimes frighteningly logical application of mindfulness principles in situations for which they were hardly originally intended. Between advice literature, criminal business structures and a rapidly escalating chain of events, a blackly humorous space of tension is created in which serenity suddenly becomes a sharply honed weapon.
