A feast for all the senses - the Michaelmas festival at the SOS Children's Village Vorpommern
Once a year, around September 20, the SOS Children's Village Vorpommern in Hohenwieden is transformed into a lively meeting place: that's when we celebrate the Michaelmas Festival together - a courtyard festival for young and old, for neighbors, friends and anyone who is curious about our village community.
The Michaelifest is much more than just a fall market. It is an expression of our lived inclusion, our community and our togetherness. People with and without disabilities create the festival together - with heart, craftsmanship and dedication.
You can look forward to:
a colorful market with regional products, handicrafts from our workshops (candles, woven goods, woodwork) and fresh vegetables from the nursery
Music, art and dance - presented by inclusive groups and local artists
Creative and hands-on stands for children and adults
delicious food from the region, freshly cooked and served with love
and of course many personal encounters in a family atmosphere.
Our workshops and sales stands are open on this day. Come and talk to employees, residents and neighbors and get to know our inclusive village life.
Michaelmas is a highlight of the year for us - a celebration of solidarity, diversity and joie de vivre.
