King Arthur. Camelot. Excalibur. Lancelot. Parzival. The Holy Grail. The Round Table - the legendary world around Merlin, probably the most famous wizard in European mythology, is incredibly rich in immortal figures, fantasy and legendary adventures. And it still shines through to the present day, with questions of captivating topicality. For Merlin's world is at war, people are hostile towards each other. And on top of that, the devil himself is pursuing a diabolical plan. Merlin is supposed to seduce people completely into evil. But the wise magician resists. In the midst of the desolate land, he dreams of the utopia of a peaceful world. And so, together with the young King Arthur, he founds the Round Table, a symbol of civilization and democracy. A fantastic odyssey begins, a world-spanning journey through space and time, full of adventure and intrigue, magic and wild romances, marital dramas, generational conflicts - and the search for the Holy Grail. Will they succeed in creating a peaceful and just world?
Actor and director Jonas Steglich brings Merlin or The Waste Land to the stage of the theater tent with a band and live music to open the season. A spectacle with knights and giants, wit, action and a touch of magic.
