The story of the film:
Moscow in the 1930s: The Soviet state censors the work of a well-known writer and the premiere of his play is canceled. The writer then begins to write a new novel:
Satirically exaggerated, he lets all the people from his real life appear. At the center is a mystical, dark figure - "Woland". He visits Moscow and takes revenge on everyone who is responsible for the writer's ruin.
The writer: He now calls himself "Master", dives deeper and deeper into his story and soon can no longer distinguish between reality and fiction, inspired and accompanied by his lover Margarita...
