Manuel Schmid & Marek Arnold with the band Inspierty

Summer Festival of Colors

It has long been known that Manuel Schmid has been committed to preserving East German songs in his concerts for many years. He presents works that are predominantly from the "art era" of the 70s and combines them with his own solo pieces. Works such as "Albatros" by Karat, "Das Bild" from the "Sistine Madonna" by Electra, "Wenn der Abend kommt" by Holger Biege, "Wie ein Fischlein unterm Eis" by Karussell or the great "Sommernacht" by Lift - Manuel Schmid manages to be astonishingly close to the original and still incorporate his own signature style. It is a tribute to the oldest German record label AMIGA. It shows what wonderful and profound music was made at a time when sales figures were not the primary concern and music was still given room to develop. Manuel Schmid deserves great thanks for this. All the composers, lyricists, publishers and executors are involved in this project and have personally given him their approval for the interpretation. There are also original songs to be heard, which draw on the musical and lyrical DNA of Ostrock and build a bridge to modern times. Two formative musical minds have joined forces on this topic. Manuel Schmid has already caused quite a stir in the German-speaking music scene with his previous albums.

Marek Arnold has long been a fixture in the international progressive rock scene and has released albums with Steve Hackett (Genisis), Jon Anderson (Yes) and Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater). Both are united by their musical work with the German art rock legend STERN-COMBO MEISSEN and their love of sophisticated music and poetry, which is also reflected in their two joint albums "Ziele" and "Zeiten". Now the two musicians present a consistent symbiosis of their musical strengths. The profound lyrics run like a red thread through the multi-layered arrangements. In an intelligent way, they bridge the gap between pop, rock, jazz and classical music in modern times.

Inspierty as a paraphrase: 4 people, rocking and melodious guitars, pulsating bass, penetrating drums, atmospheric synthesizers. What remains is post-rock. The band name simply describes: "Inspiration". The band was founded in 2013. In the beginning there were only two guitarists. Drummer and bassist followed a little later. The band was complete. From then on, we put the finishing touches to the existing songs and created new ones. In 2015, we played our first public gig at the "Fête de la Musique" festival in Rostock, and
the songs by Inspierty, whose name can easily be associated with non-earthly things, are as varied and melancholy as space itself...

Concert in the garden, indoors in bad weather.

Tickets are available at the tourist information offices, at www.kaiserbaeder-auf-usedom.de, remaining tickets at the box office - €16.00.
