Discovering home - an exploration tour through Wustrow with a new perspective. Exclusively and free of charge for locals & guests - a campaign for World Guest Guide Day 2026.
Anyone who has always wanted to discover the Baltic resort of Wustrow from a new perspective will have the opportunity to do so on Saturday, February 21, 2026. A professionally guided 2-hour walk through the town with Dr. Zita Ágota Pataki starts at 10 am at the Haus des Gastes, Ernst-Thälmann-Str. 11, where you can experience the development of the former fishing village up close. Find out everything you need to know about the extraordinary maritime history, the houses and buildings, art and culture and how the village with its idyllic location by the sea became a popular spa and bathing resort. Participation in the discovery tour through Baltic resort Wustrow on the Fischland is free.
The local walk is part of the initiative "Discovering Heimat - the week of guided tours", which will take place in the Fischland-Darß-Zingst region and the coastal foothills from February 16 - 22, 2026. The campaign, which takes World Tourist Guide Day as an opportunity, is primarily intended to encourage locals to (re)discover their own homeland. However, guests of the town are of course also welcome on the tour. The aim is to make the advantages of tourism tangible and thus increase the acceptance of tourism.
No registration necessary.
