25 Years of Celtic Folk'n'Beat - The ABERLOUR'S
In 1999, HORCH frontman Adolphi founded this band as support for Jethro Tull - after well over 1000 concerts and various festivals in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and England, the Celtic folk rock combo is on the road here in the trio version - with brand new song material from their 6th album and the extract from 25 years of band history.
Today, The ABERLOUR'S are one of the few Celtic rock bands from Germany that have reached an international level - and shine in the folk field as well as at metal festivals such as Wacken and classical or medieval events such as Mediaval Selb. Rare acoustic instruments such as the cittern and mandocello meet thunderous grooves, melodious vocal lines are complemented by furious fiddle and accordion parts to create a magical whole. Wildly romantic and whimsical stories from Old Ireland, Scotland, England and now also German verses; carried by speed folk, world beat, Celtic mysticism - Celtic Folk'n'Beat.
