A philosophical lecture from the lecture series: "Cognitive Performance Training". This series deals with the limits and possibilities of human cognitive performance using various examples. The current example deals with the topic of enlightenment in times of communicative upheaval.
The central theme of the lecture is dedicated to the concept of enlightenment and how we misunderstand it in a time of social upheaval. In a strong, communicative paradigm shift, the assumption that enlightenment runs parallel to the development of knowledge must be rejected. The influences that affect our communication and lead to a change towards a "post-enlightened" society will be discussed. In addition, the question of what can be done to allow future generations to rediscover the ideas of the Enlightenment will be explored.
