Kulturherbst Mecklenburg Lake District - Concert
Cultural Autumn Mecklenburg Lake District 09 - 21.09.2025
The Mecklenburg Lake District is the land of a thousand lakes. Between the lakes are villages with romantic castles, manor houses and many old churches.
Stefan Grasse has selected some of these historic churches to perform in this concert series. The combination of landscape, history and music thus becomes an extraordinary cultural experience. The focus is on the romantic music of Tárrega, Beethoven, Chopin and Satie for classical guitar, as well as his own neo-classical compositions with reference to the landscape and nature of the region.
The internationally acclaimed guitarist promises a concert experience that corresponds to a quiet late summer evening on the Mecklenburg Lake District.
A serenade of dusk through dream and time.
Duration approx. 60 minutes.
Free admission, donations welcome.
Guitarist Stefan Grasse studied jazz and classical guitar in Munich, Nuremberg, Salzburg and Glasgow. He has received several awards, including a cultural award from the city of Nuremberg in 1996, the Kulturpreis des Kulturforums Franken in 2004 and the Kulturförderpreis des Bezirks Mittelfranken in 2018. By 2024, he had given well over 3000 concerts in many European countries, Australia, Argentina, China, Turkey and the USA. Stefan Grasse has released 21 albums under his own name since 1993.
"Stefan Grasse doesn't need a rhythm instrument or drums, he limits himself to the guitar alone, with which he sometimes gives the impression of playing an entire orchestra. Stefan Grasse is a phenomenon, a perfectionist and an expert on his instrument." Robert Unterburger, Donaukurier 28.04.2023
