Bats - the mysterious hunters of the night. Everyone knows them, but you rarely get to see these cute animals. On the International Bat Night, which traditionally takes place at the end of August, the "Natura 2000 Station for Bats in West Mecklenburg" offers the opportunity to see the bats up close.
Many interesting aspects of this special group of species are highlighted during a guided tour on the bat trail. The bat specialists from the Natura 2000 station will accompany the two events with expert explanations. The guided tour of the interactive bat trail in the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heath Nature Park will take place on Sunday, 24.08.2025. On this occasion, a bat hibernation roost (bunker) can also be visited. The meeting point is at 10:00 a.m. at the Bossow parking lot on the road to Schwinz, about 400 m after the railroad crossing on the left.
