The East German silence as a movie
Brothers Tobias and Philipp grow up in a village in eastern Saxony. While the heat here is almost unbearable in summer, the frost makes the streets crack in winter.
Their parents build a house, which could be something of a turning point in the siblings' lives. If it weren't for the industrial legacies of the GDR that can still be found in their province. For Philipp and Tobias, the lack of prospects grows from day to day.
There are nationalist marches in Dresden and refugees are to be accepted in their town - which finally breaks the camel's back.
While one brother withdraws, the other seeks an outlet for his anger ...
