The installation invites visitors into the lost garden of Greek mythology: In the golden light of October, when nature reveals itself in its most beautiful transience, the nymphs dance in the moonlight—human-shaped spirits of nature with a magical, erotic aura that neither gods nor mortals could resist.
In Greek mythology, nymphs guard mountains, trees, and meadows—they are the living link between humans, nature, and culture. The sacred grove, their favorite dancing ground, is considered one of the first nature reserves in Western cultural history.
Using just a few elements, Miro Zahra brings this place back into the public consciousness. Her garden is the utopia of a society that once again feels the magic of nature—and rediscovers the ancient connection between humans, nature, and culture.
