The winter show at Galerie Hartwig brings together four artists who use painting, sculpture and drawing to open up different pictorial worlds - from transparent color spaces and sculptural cloud forms to expressive ink works and mythological narratives.
The winter exhibition at Galerie Hartwig presents works by four contemporary artists who use different media and styles to create multifaceted pictorial spaces.
In her works, Yesul Lee (*1994, Seoul) explores painterly spaces of transparency in which layers overlap and a fragile depth unfolds. Sarah Pschorn (*1989, Dresden) stages sculptural "cloud pieces" made of subtly glazed porcelain that oscillate between lightness and materiality. Wanda Stolle (*1985, Berlin) sets powerful contrasts in moving, decorative and violent ink drawings. Asana Fujikawa (*1981, Tokyo) tells stories from Japanese and European mythology in her works - populated by mythical creatures as well as very real female friends.
Together, the four positions open up a multi-layered dialog between material, form and narrative and invite visitors to discover wintery visual worlds beyond the obvious.
A visit is possible during opening hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or by telephone appointment on +49 174 9475424.
