People with migration experience write personal letters in their mother tongue.
In the Found Letters project, people with migration experience write personal letters in their native language. These are about their feelings, memories and hopes. The letters are translated into German and read by people without migration experience, who then reply to them. The aim is to promote intercultural exchange and greater understanding between migrants and the majority society.
The resulting texts are presented to the public, e.g. in digital exhibitions with photos, audio recordings and illustrations. Participants can thus also make their own stories visible.
