Small but beautiful - that's the village of Steesow, which is the focus of this year's traditional district-wide harvest festival. Summer, sun and a good mood: while many people are looking forward to their vacation and the big vacations, farmers are hoofing it and looking forward to the upcoming harvest, preparations for this year's district harvest festival of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Steesow are already in full swing. Around 770 years after the first documented mention of the village in the southwest of our district on the border with Brandenburg, which today has just under 200 inhabitants, Steesow is dressing up for a special highlight on September 27 and is looking forward to welcoming many visitors.

In addition to the parade, the highlights of the District Harvest Festival 2025 include the craftsmen's and farmers' market with various stalls and a varied supporting program for young and old. However, the event thrives on the support and cooperation of people from the region and neighboring districts. For this reason, all traders, municipalities, agricultural businesses, clubs and associations as well as kindergartens and schools in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district and neighboring districts are called upon to actively participate in the organization of the district harvest festival. Incidentally, the most beautiful harvest crowns and harvest floats will be sought again this year.
