A colorful festival for everyone with a wide range of hands-on activities, creative offers and information stands
The motto of the democracy festival is "Neustrelitz moves together"!
The colorful festival can be visited from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Slavic village at Zierker See. The people of Neustrelitz can expect a colorful festival with:
- Art and culture,
- gastronomy,
- crafts and history.
- Associations introduce themselves, volunteer work is presented.
"What could be better in life than looking into the shining eyes of children, taking grandma and grandpa out, inviting the lonely neighbor over, meeting friends and acquaintances in the fresh air. You can have all that with us" (says Michaela Seliga).
Theoccasion for this festival is an important historical event: in 1919, the first democratic constitution of the Free State of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was adopted in Neustrelitz. The aim of this festival is to commemorate the region's democratic tradition and at the same time set an example for social cohesion and political participation.
In cooperation with the Neustrelitz Partnership for Democracy, the Friends of the Slavic Village e.V. invites you to a colorful festival for everyone. Together with many partners, a wide range of hands-on activities, creative offers and information stands are being prepared. Entry to the Slavic Village is free of charge on this day. We celebrate togetherness, democracy and cohesion in Neustrelitz. Celebrate with us!
