Spanning different eras and countries, the poems by 20 poets tell of persecution and loss of homeland. For one week, the Exile Poetry Vending Machines will be on display at two locations in Schwerin.
The fates of the 20 poets are different, but what unites them is a four-letter word: Exile. Spanning epochs and countries, their poems tell of a world of persecution and loss of home. In exchange for €0.50, a box containing one of these poems can be drawn from the machine. Which one is included is left to chance.
For one week from 8.11. to 14.11., the Exile Poetry Vending Machines will be set up in the Kulturforum Schleswig-Holstein Haus (Puschkinstraße 12, 19055 Schwerin) and the Schwerin City Library (Klöresgang 3, 19053 Schwerin). (Please check the opening hours of the respective location in advance).
An event as part of the program Days of Exile Schwerin & Festival for Ostracized Music. An initiative of the Körber Foundation in cooperation with the Mecklenburg-Schwerin State Theater and the State capital Schwerin.
