moms, animals, sensations

4.5 billion years of evolution and still an ongoing experiment.

The new program "Momsen, Tiere, Sensationen" is a humorous declaration of love to nature and an invitation to take a closer look. For example, when headless cockroaches disappear behind skirting boards, squirrels hide under their tails when it rains or cockchafers indulge in reproduction for hours on end. It makes you wonder: divine plan or divine joke?

God is said to have needed six days for creation - quite an ambitious schedule. Perhaps he only realized afterwards that it was more complicated than that. So for 4.5 billion years, things have been diligently readjusted: Animals get wings and lose them again, fish crawl onto land, while land animals fall back into the water. But where does it all lead?

The requirements are manifold: walking, sleeping, eating, reproducing - everything has to be possible with one body. Spines protect the hedgehog, but make its love life difficult. Some snails were given a house, but there were obviously not enough resources for all of them.

It's as if the creator is sitting there with his Playstation, testing one level after another. And the sequel is underway...
