Darß Nature Film Festival 2025

Once a year, you can also admire the beauty of nature on the big screen: At the DARßER NATURFILMFESTIVAL, we present outstanding German and international nature and environmental film productions over six days at the venues PREROW, WIECK, BORN, ZINGST, AHRENSHOOP and STRALSUND. Twelve films will be competing for the German Nature Film Award 2025 with the most moving and aesthetic images of the year - the audience can also vote here. But the cinema ship in Born, multivision shows in Zingst, readings in Ahrenshoop, nature expeditions through the national park, a specialist program for the film and nature industry and our festival meadow in front of the Darßer Arche in Wieck also attract visitors to the Fischland-Darß-Zingst Peninsula. What began modestly in 2005 is now an impressive event. The festival is now one of the most popular nature and environmental film festivals in Germany. Filmmakers and guests from all parts of the country travel with the migrating cranes to the Darß in the middle of the idyllic National Park of Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft in the fall.
