The Cuarteto Casals is not only a cultural ambassador for its homeland, but is also one of the most exquisite string quartets of our time. The program reflects this in exemplary fashion: from Turina's "Prayer of the Bullfighter" to a work dedicated to the quartet, which was premiered in Barcelona only this year, it culminates in one of the masterpieces of classical chamber music: the G major quartet by Franz Schubert.
