A contemplative wind orchestra experience in the churches
These popular hours in the region's churches have now become a tradition. The breathtaking acoustics in these hundreds of years old churches are certainly one of the reasons for the large numbers of visitors on these evenings. But it is not only during Advent that the impressive pieces attract numerous guests. At the beginning of the year, the final concerts in Grimmen and Tribsees are scheduled around the "Three Kings' Day", at the end of the Christmas season, in which the most beautiful time of the year is bid a sonorous farewell.
The program, in which not only the classic German Advent and Christmas carols are performed, but also lively, international titles for the festive season, invites visitors to linger and reflect. "We are all really looking forward to the emotional moments that we can experience with our guests. For the first time ever, we will be performing in Stralsund's St. Mary's Church, whose architecture alone makes our music have an impressive effect on the audience. Our journey will also take us to Loitz for the second time so far, where we will perform on the first day of Advent. The last time we performed there, the audience gave us a standing ovation," says Hans-Joachim Praeckel, musical director of the ensemble.
Admission is free, but a donation is appreciated.
