a mixture of world music, jazz, tango, neoclassical and traditional songs
The musical style "Tsching", founded by the Berlin ensemble of the same name, is a blend of world music, jazz, classical music and music from the Balkans and Eastern Europe. The extraordinary timbres of cello, saxophone and guitar tell stories of virtuoso exuberance, longing ballads, melancholy and pulsating dance rhythms.
Quotes from folk songs and regional songs to Piazzolla, Gershwin, Jan Garbarek and Nirvana are incorporated into the compositions and artfully continued. The audience is always encouraged to take part in guessing the songs. The virtuoso interpretations have inspired audiences throughout Germany, resulting in invitations from numerous renowned festivals and even the German President. This will be the trio's third appearance in Waren. We are looking forward to it!
Ben Aschenbach - concert and jazz guitar
Sung-Yueh Chou (Moon) - violoncello
Helmut Mittermaier - saxophone, flute
