Doctor Faustus and the fallen angels
Under the title "Doctor Faustus and the fallen angels", Johanna Bartz (transverse flutes) and Vincent Kibildis (Gothic harps) will perform a very special evening of German Renaissance music by Hans Newsidler, Georg Rhau, Caspar Othmayr and Ludwig Senfl. The two will combine the concertante listening experience with recitations from historical "Höllenzwänge" and Spiess' "Historia von D. Johann Fausten" (1587). Johanna Bartz is no stranger to Neustrelitz, as she began her training here at the district music school. She is now a freelance musician in Basel, but regularly returns to her old home. This time she has her congenial duo partner, Cologne harpist Vincent Kibildis, "in her luggage". The Strelitzer Musikfreunde e. V. are delighted to have found a date in Neustrelitz for this concert experience with this rarely heard combination of instruments.
