Concert as part of the Wittower Rügen Regatta

BluesRausch - this is the name of the North German musician Steffen Rausch. With his powerful voice and earthy, virtuoso piano playing, he has been delighting audiences throughout Germany for many years. He plays his repertoire in various line-ups: as a soloist in the bar or lounge or on the big stage - sometimes in a septet with wind instruments and other guests. Mostly, however, he is on the road as a duo or trio.

His own songs are honest and unpolished like sandy pearls and tell of the basic arithmetic of everyday life - always with a smiling look into the bright side.

Rausch knows how to combine blues, boogie, soul, jazz and rock in the most variable form. He interprets cover songs by Keb Mo, Ray Charles, Etta James, Stefan Gwildis, Selig and Lindenberg (to name but a few) in his own exciting and surprising way. His style is individual and inimitable.

And seemingly by the way, the Stralsund native makes his audience laugh - every now and then in between - he tells little stories with dry North German humor.
