The unmistakable sound of the Drahtzieher artfully interweaves the influences of three well-traveled gypsy jazz musicians from Ravensburg. Their numerous engagements with established greats of the genre do credit to the conspiratorial band name and give the trio the sovereignty to tastefully introduce new sound colors and styles into the genre. In the wire-pullers' imaginative arrangements, the instruments meet at eye level, precisely composed both rhythmically and harmonically. This results in complex, almost chamber music-like moments, which nevertheless always carry the esprit of gypsy swing within them: deep melancholy on the one hand, fiery temperament on the other. In concert, the pioneering spirit of their own compositions is combined with selected classics of the genre to create a unique and exciting live experience. They are now presenting their new album "Mer Diga Men" in Rostock.
