In the distant future, mankind disposes of its radioactive waste in space. The transportation is carried out by space truckers who spend their four-year missions alone with the on-board computers. During one of these journeys, the Earth explodes. The trucker believes himself to be the last living person in space until he picks up a message from a French astronaut. A mixture of science fiction and romance film staged with a lot of dry humor and lined with all kinds of pop culture set pieces. It is not about reflections on the end of humanity. Instead, the focus is on a somewhat awkward, but all the more heartfelt and sincere love story in a solar system without Earth.
