The traditional Christmas reading, organized by the Förderverein and the city library, is entitled "Wiehnachten op Platt und Hoochdüütsch" this year.
The event will take place on December 10 at 7 pm in the Zeughaus hall, Ulmenstraße 15. In a pre-Christmas atmosphere, the mates of the Niederdeutsche Bühne Wismar e. V. and the Wismar Plattsnacker Ingeborg Schumacher and Gitta Ries will perform the Low German part of the evening. Christine Fiedler and Anja Grunau will read their own High German stories, poems and fairy tales.
Annerose Schuldes will provide the musical accompaniment on the piano, complemented by Christmas songs from the audience. So everyone, Platt and non-Platt snackers alike, will get their money's worth.
Tickets for this Christmas reading are available now for 8 euros in advance at the Wismar City Library. Any remaining tickets will cost 10 euros at the box office.
