Ceremony for the 21st Darßer NaturfilmFestival with film screening, live music and regional delicacies
We invite you to the opening of the Darßer NaturfilmFestival at the Hotel IV Jahreszeiten in Zingst. There, the film screening of "Mecklenburg's Secret Water Wilderness - The Feldberg Lakes" by Almut and Christoph Hauschild with musical accompaniment will set the mood for this year's festival program. Afterwards, guests can enjoy a buffet with regional delicacies.
Film screening: Mecklenburg's secret water wilderness - The Feldberg Lakes
Between Berlin and the Island of Rügen, just a few kilometers east of the Müritz, lies a labyrinth of turquoise-blue lakes, ancient forests, hills and gorges. It is one of the most beautiful landscapes in northern Germany and yet remains an insider tip to this day. An oasis for anyone in search of unspoiled nature. The Feldberg Lakes are one of the most biodiverse regions in Germany, they are eagle country, with three species raising their broods here: ospreys, white-tailed eagles and the extremely rare lesser spotted eagle. The lakes are strung together like pearls on a string. You can get from one to the next without setting foot on land. The highlight of the chain of lakes is the narrow Luzin. It stretches like a small fjord in a narrow channel from north to south. Old beech trees line the steep scree slopes. Their gnarled roots clutch the large and small boulders that the last ice age brought with it from Scandinavia.
