From our sailing base in Salem, we start our guided canoe day trip comfortably across Lake Kummerow and the Peene (Amazon of the North) to Neukalen. There we enjoy a cool ice cream in the harbor of the small Mecklenburg town and paddle back refreshed. With a bit of luck, we may see beavers and beaver lodges, swimming grass snakes and white-tailed eagles circling along the way. The tour is suitable for young and old. Even beginners will get their money's worth.
