The buer Matthias Stührwoldt tells stories from his country life
Kirch Stück: The Förderverein der Kirche zu Kirch Stück e.V. and the BUND-Landesverband M-V invite you to a special Low German afternoon! On Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 3 p.m. we have Buer Matthias Stührwoldt from Stolpe in the district of Plön as our guest in the "Landhaus Schwerin", An der Chaussee 28, Schwerin-Medewege.
Matthias Stührwoldt runs a 107
ha dairy farm in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein. His family's everyday farming life today and in the past is rich in stories. Stührwoldt tells them with Nordic cheekiness and affection: short stories, poems and columns. In his texts, he describes country life in all its facets, as it presents itself to him as an organic farmer and father of five children. With North German humor, he tells of catastrophes large and small.
First book: "Verliebt Trecker fahren" (2003). Other works include "Der Wollmützenmann", "Schubkarrenrennen!", "Lever he as ik!", "Allens in mien Kopp".
Since 2010 author and narrator of the NDR radio program "Hör mal 'n beten to",
