What does it mean to live with the grief of a deceased child?
There is probably no right or universal answer to this. Parents who experience something like this have to find out for themselves how to deal with the loss and accept the grief.
Marion Belz found a very unique and special way to live with her grief. She wrote down her way of grieving for her son Sascha, who died on April 7, 2013 during the Berlin half marathon, in her book "Marathon des Himmels".
The help and support of many dear people and the close contact with Sascha's friends helped her to accept her grief and live with it. After the feeling of deep powerlessness, she describes how she found her way into a new, different life and the tender feeling of being able to allow joy and happiness again.
