In her book debut, actress and activist Gesine Cukrowski shares experiences from her career - an inspiring evening for men and women.

Gesine Cukrowski (*1968) is one of the most renowned German actresses in film, television and theater. She is known to audiences from "The Last Witness", "Mordach - Death in the Mountains" and "Hotel Mondial" (filmed in Schwerin, among other places), but few people know about her special commitment to other people. She is co-founder of the "Foundling Baby for Mothers in Need" foundation and has been involved with Welthungerhilfe for many years. In 2023, together with Silke Burmester (Palais F*luxx), she launched the initiative "Let's Change The Picture", which campaigns for greater visibility of women aged 47 and over in German film and television. Gesine Cukrowski was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit in March 2025 for her many years of commitment to women's and gender equality policy.

In her debut book "Sorry Tarzan, ich rette mich selbst!", Gesine Cukrowski embarks on a fascinating expedition that begins in the world of films and ultimately affects us all personally: where real life and fictional images meet. The author shares experiences from her career and shows how the male gaze through film cameras influences our lives and our patriarchal role attributions. An inspiring book for everyone: for women who no longer want to be pigeonholed. And for Tarzans who want to understand how tiring their savior reflex is - even for Jane.

Look forward to an evening with depth and humor!
