The Hohendorf author Dorina Kasten presents her work in the atmospheric Scheelesaal at the Romantik Hotel Scheelehof in Stralsund.
The historical romance novel interweaves two women's stories against the picturesque backdrop of Western Pomerania. Berta, who has to reorganize her life after the devastating storm surge of 1872, and Frieda, a former crane operator at the Volkswerft shipyard, who holds her own with a clearing company. Both struggle not only with the challenges of their time - but also with love. But they know: The sea has the answer.
Dorina Kasten tells the story sensitively, excitingly and with a keen sense of regional history and strong female characters. The evening promises to be a literary journey through the past and present - with a reading, discussion and book signing.
