Dobbin near Dobbertin. A celestial spectacle is on the horizon: On Sunday, September 7, 2025, the full moon will plunge into the Earth's shadow and will be shrouded in a mysterious, reddish light - a so-called blood moon. The Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heide Nature and Star Park cordially invites all sky enthusiasts and nature lovers to a public observation event at the Dobbin stargazing site.

The evening promises a special nature experience:

Dobbin's open location and the unobstructed view of the eastern horizon make it an ideal observation site for this rare event. The venue is the stargazing site next to the sports field in Dobbin, where star guides and nature park staff will welcome guests at 7 p.m. and guide them through the evening. Binoculars and telescopes are available on site, own equipment is welcome. Please remember to bring folding chairs or a camping mat and warm clothing.
Marina Kahrmann, project manager of the star park, says: "With its natural backdrop of the Dobbiner Plage, Dobbin offers an ideal stage for this cosmic spectacle. We look forward to experiencing this special evening together with you."

In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, such as rain and clouds, the event will be cancelled.
