Concert by the Rheinsberg Court Orchestra 25/26 POLYCHROMA
Prince Friedrich remembered his time at the Rheinsberg court as the happiest years of his life. In this concert, Ensemble Polychroma presents some of the composers who shaped this lively milieu. The musicians explore the stark contrast between the charm and elegance of Frederick's life at the Rheinsberg court and the deep unhappiness of his later life from a musical perspective.
The four musicians - Anežka Drozdová (transverse flute), Natascha Pichler (baroque violin), Marta Pindór (harpsichord) and Glenna Curren (baroque cello) - come from the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland and the USA and met during their studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Their name, Polychroma, refers to the variety of musical and artistic colors that the ensemble brings to light in its interpretations.
