Cross-genre, experimental and unconventional - the Volkstheater will once again become a platform for interdisciplinary experiments, in which invited artists and the theater's own sections open up new perspectives together. One highlight is the concert by electro-pop group ÄTNA. In collaboration with actors and dancers from the Volkstheater, in-house director Daniel Pfluger stages a unique stage experience. Sound artist Dasha Rush and Butoh performer Valentin Tszin create the audiovisual dance piece Les territoires éphémères, in which elements of Japanese dance style interact with electronic music and acoustic sounds from the cello and piano. Before the main acts, a short film by video artist Sebastian Weise will be shown, which takes a poetic look at the theater with a specially composed soundtrack. In the Ateliertheater, Claudia Charlotte Burchard and Volkstheater actors will bring texts and photographs by artist Gundula Schulze Eldowy to life, while Hot Chip singer Alexis Taylor will present songs from his solo albums as well as newly interpreted Hot Chip pieces in an intimate piano concert in the Chorsaal.
