Award ceremony evening with musical program and presentation of the award-winning film
The awards evening of the film festival starts at 5 pm with culinary delights from THE GRAND buffet.
The first highlight of the evening starts at 6.15 pm: Lina Maly! She is considered one of the most promising representatives of the new generation of German-language pop music. With her melancholy, touching songs and extraordinary voice, she has secured a firm place in the hearts of German audiences in recent years, not least with over 30 musical works and 3 successful albums that have delighted fans and critics alike. In July 2016, Maly appeared on the late-night show "Inas Nacht" with her first single "Schön genug". In August 2016, she supported the French chanson singer ZAZ. That was the beginning. Concerts with Lina Maly are a unique experience in which the musician reinterprets her songs live time and time again. As part of the Ahrenshoop Film Nights, Lina Maly will be playing the piano as a duo together with Sophia Wanschaffe (acoustic guitar).
The winners of the jury, audience and sponsorship awards will be announced and honored from 7 pm. Film fans can then look forward to the screening of the Jury Prize winner's film from 8:30 p.m. to enjoy the film for the first time or perhaps again.
The evening will end with live music in the foyer from 22:15. The JAZZKOMBÜSE is more than just a jazz band. Originating from the legendary jams in Schwerin's Angler II, a virtually tireless ensemble has emerged that performs the entire spectrum of jazz with a fine hand and great passion. The Jazzkombüse is all about creativity and the joy of playing! A number of national and international guests have already visited the Schwerin Jazzkombüse: Nils Landgren, Fiete Felsch, Andreas Pasternack, Benny Brown: all masters of their craft and particularly enthusiastic about the playful ease of the Schwerin Jazzkombüse.
The Jazzkombüse will make the Ahrenshoop Film Nights swing with great hits from equally great films. The performance is also a greeting from the well-known Schwerin MusikKlub, partner of the FILMKUNSTFEST MV every year in May in the State capital Schwerin, to its "sister festival" on the Baltic Sea.
