"I don't want to trade places with any king" Songs and life of Anton Günther
Anton Günther (1876 - 1937) was a dialect poet, singer and composer from the Ore Mountains. He wrote around 140 songs and invented the "song postcard", which could also be seen as the beginning of modern music merchandising.
His 150th birthday in 2026 provides an opportunity to reinterpret his works in a contemporary way. For this reason, we* have restructured some of his most beautiful songs and interpreted them in a contemporary way. The CD "Feierobnd", released in October 2025, shows how folkloric songs can suddenly be rediscovered in their unadulterated beauty.
