Rajepsut Gisler (37) is our guest at the 5th teatime. She was born in Oman and grew up in a Swiss mountain village. She finds it difficult to answer the question about her mother tongue. In her case, the saying "Migration is the mother of all cultures" comes to a head.

People with an international history talk about themselves at the "teatime". These are deliberately subjective views of a person that allow us to look beyond our own horizons and change our perspective.

Rajepsut Gisler (37) is a guest at the 5th teatime. The fashion designer has an international family history. Growing up as a black woman in a Swiss mountain village, she hid under a burka at times, fled Switzerland and lived in Georgia and now in Schwerin. Her life has been shaped by the effects of colonial continuities and racist stereotypes.

We look forward to the discussion and to any questions you bring along.

Admission is free. Drinks will be provided.
