A bike tour with a ranger to the most beautiful sights between Dargun and Altkalen with guided tours of the monastery ruins and the Altkalen windmill, including coffee and dinner
A special kind of cycle tour first leads through the Dargun monastery forest, which is well worth seeing. There, on the forest adventure trail, we follow the newcomer "Scrofi" through his realm. Before cycling on to Dörgelin, a detour to the unique Slavic castle rampart is planned. The next stop is the Altkalen mill, where you can recharge your batteries over coffee and cake. Here, the miller himself will explain how the windmill works and how flour is made. The return route via Dörgeliner Damm and through the monastery forest ends at the monastery ruins. Hartwig, the bailiff, is already waiting for us there. We start with a little refreshment with tasty snacks from the monastery store before the bailiff guides us through the grounds and explains the history of Dragun Monastery. The tour ends with dinner in the vaulted cellar. Many tasty treats can then be discovered in the monastery store.
This traditional cycle tour is accompanied by a ranger from the nature park. The meeting point is in the parking lot of the monastery/castle complex.
