Musical walk through the Hanseatic city. Unique organs, inspiring musicians and an exclusive program. The three Gothic churches are worth a visit at any time. The organs: Majestic and impressive in their sound. The most important organ builders of their time created great works here: Stellwagen, Wegscheider and Buchholz.
Musical history is celebrated on this night by three special musicians.
The organist Martin Rost has been active in St. Marien since 1997 and presents works from Gothic to Baroque with virtuosity.
In St. Jakobi, music from Eastern Europe will be played by Vidas Pinkevicius from Vilnius - multi-layered and captivating.
In St. Nikolai, the oldest church in Stralsund, improvisations will be played on the organ and live electronics. Palm Hulme, who was born in England and has been working as a choirmaster and cantor in Berlin since 2015, will demonstrate that modern music is very much at home in such a venerable church.
This is a concert to look forward to.
