Literary criticism & book tips with Martina Bade (Rostock City Library), Emily Grunert (Literaturbüro NRW) and Stefan Härtel (book blogger, Bookster HRO)
Three novels meet six eyes: can that work? You certainly shouldn't expect unity from Rostock's literary trio, not even during the contemplative Advent season. But you will learn a lot about surprising new novels and how to argue with respect and humor. Or how you can share an enthusiasm for contemporary literature.
The great thing is that nobody wants to sell anything here. It's all about shared reading pleasure, pleas for books or sometimes against them. If you still want to take something home with you, you can of course invest sustainably away from AI, Amazon and fossil fuels at the book table.
These three books will be discussed: Béla Rothenbühler: "Polyphon pervers", Thomas Pynchon: "Schattennummer" & Laura Maaß: "Was du siehst". As always, there will be personal recommendations afterwards .
