The trio around pianist Tobias Altripp can now look back on a respectable band vita. In addition to two released albums ("Experimental Blues", 2020 on Haber Records and "We Bring Some Horns", 2024 on Mons Records), this musical journey, which began in spring 2019, also included a tribute concert program in which the band dedicated itself to the music of Russ Freeman and Chet Baker's quartet. These are lively hard bop compositions and arrangements from a time when Chet Baker had just established himself as a trumpeter and it was not yet clear that he would later win the hearts of many jazz fans primarily as a melancholy singer. The trio pays tribute to this era in this concert program and was able to win the multi-award-winning trumpeter Bruno Calvo from Amsterdam as a guest. In the year 2025, this program will now be brought back to the stage, supplemented by a few original compositions from the band's own history.

Bruno Calvo
"You've become a BIEST on the trumpet, man. What the hell ...? Show me what you're practicing. Sounds great, man!!! So flexible, my God. Up and down on the horn like nothing ... Just the way I like it."
(Avishai Cohen)
Bruno Calvo is a jazz trumpeter at heart, but also shows influences from classical music and various other styles; you can hear that he grew up in Cádiz, the cradle of flamenco. In recent years, Bruno has performed in various formations; from duo, quartet, quintet to big band.
