On 16.11.2025, the Heimatverband MV e.V. invites you to the 11th Plattdeutsch Round Table at the Heimatmuseum Warnemünde. Topic: "Platt un niege Medien"
How can Low German be brought into the digital space? And how can we creatively combine language, culture and media? These are the questions that this year's Plattdeutsch Round Table will address on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Warnemünde Museum of Local History.
The Heimatverband Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V. cordially invites all Low German speakers and those interested in Low German to spend a lively and inspiring day together. Under the motto "Platt un niege Medien", the focus is on how Low German can become more visible in modern media - on Instagram, in podcasts or in other digital ways.
All generations are invited - from young to old. The round table aims to bring together people who live, learn or want to pass on Low German. Whether you already actively speak Platt or are simply curious about the language, everyone who is interested in exchanging ideas and having good conversations is welcome. And if you're still looking for someone to talk to, you've come to the right place!
The event runs from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm. After a round of introductions (with space for short project presentations), the workshop with the well-known Plattfluencer Lisa Wrogemann(@Eat.Platt.Love) will start at 11.30 am. She will show how Low German can be conveyed creatively and vividly using modern media.
Participation is free, admission to the museum is included in the program. Thanks to the support of Kulturland MV, the travel costs of participants can also be covered by the Heimatverband MV - so we would also like to encourage people from other regions to take part.
Catering will be provided.
The number of participants is limited. Please register HERE for the round table by November 11, 2025.
The event is funded by the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Kulturland MV.
